Part-Time Crisis Support Worker

Job Description
Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP Foundation (HELP) supports individuals, whānau and communities impacted by sexual violence in Wellington, Porirua and the Kāpiti Coast.
We are seeking a permanent part-time Crisis Support Worker for our 24/7 sexual assault crisis intervention service.
As part of an on-call team you will offer face to face support to victims of sexual violence in acute situations. You will also provide telephone support for callers to our 24-hour support line. Ideally you will have experience in crisis work, good interpersonal skills and a clear understanding of the issues and impact of rape and sexual abuse.
A current driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required for this position. Crisis workers are also required to live within a 30 minute drive of both Wellington and Porirua, and the Hutt. The successful applicant will be required to complete a Police check.
