Te Toki | Team Leader – Office of Korimako Tangiata | National Secretary National Office, Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington 

As Te Toki Team Leader,  you’ll actively oversee and manage the Office of Korimako Tangiata to ensure it runs smoothly. This includes providing sound judgement and timeliness they can depend on, diary management, meeting and large event management, internal and external communications, travel arrangements, budget support and annual reporting. The Team Leader manages a team of two including a Governance Officer and an Executive Assistant.

You’ll be a collaborative manager and a real self-starter with the ability to think strategically and bring our events to life!  A natural organiser and true creative, you’ll be great at managing competing priorities and will love managing a fast-paced and sometimes challenging team environment.

You’ll need to have a ‘can do’ attitude, in order to get the job done. If that sounds like you and you’re up for the challenge – read on!

You will have;

  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in a similar size organisation, managing teams to enable and build capability
  • Strong experience in end-to-end management of large events
  • An understanding and appreciation of working in a confidential environment
  • Understanding of membership or non-government organisations
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
  • Proficiency with technology and computer systems including the Microsoft Office Suite of products
