Full-Time Support Manager (Fixed Term)

Job Description
This is an important position within RainbowYOUTH, managing our support team and overseeing delivery of our services across Aotearoa. You’ll be managing a team of six peer support workers across Auckland (3), Northland (1), Taranaki (1) and Bay of Plenty (1). You’ll be making sure that we’re working in line with best practice peer support, that our staff and service users are safe, and we’re upholding a high standard of privacy and confidentiality. You’ll also oversee our Transgender Peer Support Service in Auckland and Northland.
This role would suit someone who has great people skills, is organised and great at managing their time. The role does involve some reporting and policy writing, so written communication skills will also be important. We’d love to hear from youth or social workers looking to take the next step in their career.
The role is fixed term, finishing 31 March 2021. This is because we are planning a review of the support team structure early next year. There will be a permanent management role (or roles) within the support team at the end of the fixed term, so we encourage people to apply who are interested in working with RainbowYOUTH longer term too.
We’re a tight knit team of young (or youth adjacent!) queer and gender diverse people who enjoy having a supportive and fun work environment. You’ll be provided with full training and ongoing support (including professional supervision) for this position.
One of RainbowYOUTH’s core values is honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and we encourage you to explore how you would contribute to this in your application.
