Full-Time Store Manager – Wellington City

Are you an experienced retail manager ready to take your next step by working for a values led and sustainable business?
We are looking for an energetic, confident and customer focused Store Manager to lead our vibrant Wellington City team. This is a full time position working Monday – Friday.
Commonsense leads the field in all aspects of organics and sustainability and our Wellington City Store is the largest of our 6 stores. We cater for people buying organic food, allergy-free items, environmentally friendly goods and health and beauty products as well as providing an exceptional customer service experience.
In this role you will:
- Manage a team of passionate people, who are care deeply about what they do
- Take the lead on customer service and model this to all staff
- Order and merchandise goods across departments – fresh foods, grocery and health and beauty (with the assistance of other staff)
- Manage the store budget, and be responsible for growing sales
- Work with Head Office to promote the store and company within the local community and wider region
You will need to be able to demonstrate:
- An excellent understanding of organics, fair trade and allergy friendly foods
- Excellent people skills, particularly staff management and customer service
- Experience in retail at management level
- A passion for sustainability, and a desire to work for a company that wants to make the world a better place
- Good analytical and computer skills
