Are you passionate about creating transformational change for rangatahi and their whānau?

Hāpai Tūhono Charitable Trust is looking for an experienced Social Work Team Leader to join our team in the role of Kaiwhakahaere Hāpai.

This full-time role is based in South Auckland (with work-from-home flexibility) and is fixed-term for two years.

You will bring your Te Ao Māori worldview, social work, leadership and team management skills to support our small and agile team to work with our rangatahi, whānau and hāpori.

Together, drawing on our lived experience and expertise, we collaborate with our rangatahi to do “whatever it takes” to ensure they have a pathway to thrive and be aspirational.

To apply, you will need:

  • A Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work or similar recognised by the SWRB
  • Experience working with Māori organisations and the community
  • To lead a team understanding mana enhancing and safe practice
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong track record of stakeholder management and the ability to network and communicate effectively
  • Bring a sense of humour to your work
