Part-Time Recycling Centre Coordinator

Part time 32-hour permanent role

  • Hours from Thursday to Sunday each week

The Beautification Trust is a social enterprise on a mission to connect and empower communities to learn, love and look after our environment.

The Recycling Centre Coordinator will provide hands on support with the exciting range of waste minimisation services the Beautification Trust is launching this year. Part of these services includes a community recycling centre and zero waste op shop.

Your role

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to join our Community Team and make a meaningful difference to help empower communities to make steps towards living zero waste lives.

On a typical day the role will involve running our public facing services including collecting recycling from the public, running the zero-waste op shop and providing direction to shop volunteers.

As a valued member of our team, you will:

  • Ideally had some retail or customer service experience
  • Be passionate about zero waste
  • Be able to lead others, give direction and communicate well
  • Experience in working with a wide range of people effectively
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic, and honest with a great eye for detail
  • Have a can-do approach to your work
  • Be responsible and be able to manage your time well
  • Ability to cope under pressure
