Full-Time Community Programme Facilitator

Girl Guiding New Zealand –  Auckland City, Auckland

Job Description

• Do you have a background in education or working with children and young people?
• Do you want to make a difference in the lives of girls and women?
• Do you have a sense of fun and adventure?

GirlGuiding NZ is all about enabling girls and young women to develop into confident, adventurous and empowered members of their community.

We are seeking someone who has the skills and passion to really influence how girls in local communities can be themselves while having fun and gaining life experiences through exciting Guiding activities. As part of the Community Programme Team you will have a key role in co-ordinating an exciting calendar of activities for girls in the community who are not currently involved with Guiding.

To be successful in this role, you will ensure the promotion and successful delivery of pop up activities for local girls in their community, as well as developing relationships and networks to enable delivery of activities to groups of girls in other organisations.

You will be comfortable working with a range of external providers, as well as co-ordinating and supporting volunteers who are key to successful delivery.

Previous experience in the co-ordination and delivery of programme material and resources, or in event planning would be desirable, as would be an understanding of a volunteer based organisation.

If you have a strong focus on achieving quality outcomes together with the ability to gain insight into the needs of today’s girls in their communities then you could be just the person we need!

This position is full time and requires some flexibility. It is based at our Mt Eden office in Auckland.
