People Experience Manager

Location: Wellington (although keen to hear about folks anywhere in Aotearoa for remote work)

Weekly Hours: 10 hours per week (with the potential to go up in time)

Contract Term: 6 months

Contract Rate: $70 NZD p/h

We’re looking for our new People Experience Manager (we can work on the title together!), who will be a key partner for some of our epic clients, helping them with their ongoing people needs as well as one-off projects. You’ll be a fantastic leader, passionate about people experience and someone who is incredibly flexible and able to pick up a bunch of different things in the people space.

Types of work may include (with support from the wider BloomHQ team):

  • Working with our clients to come up with their people strategies and helping to execute on them
  • Supporting our clients with people leadership, having 1:1s with team members, helping them with their professional development and anything else they need support with
  • Provide ongoing people experience and HR support to clients on a regular basis
  • Supporting client people projects which can include stuff like talent acquisition, onboarding, wellbeing, learning and development, performance and empowerment
  • Working with the BloomHQ team to develop new products and services to deliver to our clients and owning lots of that stuff as it develops (this bit isn’t a core part of the role but we try to make time for all our team to participate in this)

  • An people-centered and empathetic approach to employee experience
  • Hugely passionate about creating better outcomes for employees around Aotearoa and gets excited about how they might contribute to that impact, at scale
  • Someone who operates from a place of courage and who will say what is needed, when it is needed, in a kind, clear and empathetic way
  • Strong skills in being able to assess what each of our clients and their employees need and having a practical approach to providing that service to them (we don’t try to do stuff for them that they’re not ready for or doesn’t fit their vibe)
  • A love for lifelong learning and curiosity to try things in different ways
  • A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and a desire to be a great partner for our indigenous peoples both here in Aotearoa and globally
  • Someone who is an advocate for wellbeing, particularly their own wellbeing
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills
  • Someone with HR knowledge and experience in Aotearoa (and maybe even in Australia)
