Job Description

Environment Hubs Aotearoa (EHA) is a for-purpose network, supporting community-led solutions that empower regeneration and resilience. We envision connected communities regenerating te taiao and our 21 member hubs are working towards this throughout Aotearoa. EHA recognises Te Tiriti as the founding document of Aotearoa, and at the heart of what we do, and those we support, is the belief that Papatuanuku urgently needs kaitiakitanga.

Across Aotearoa, 21 Environment Hubs run programmes, answer public queries, and host events and workshops. They increase home performance, water and energy efficiency, promote gardening and food sovereignty, build community, protect nature, support active transport and much more. Our members are highly resourceful, running successful enterprises to create income and matching donations with volunteer enthusiasm. By working together nationally through Environment Hubs Aotearoa we bring better opportunities to more communities and scale up the positive effect for our environment. To support the local work of our member network we run a national coordination office that connects, inspires and empowers the members.

We invite people to work for us who share our vision and values, and who are committed to positive environmental outcomes, supporting communities to create their own mana-enhancing solutions.

We are looking for a Partnership & Revenue Specialist to develop, implement and evaluate revenue strategies that achieve success for EHA. You will increase access to funding and partnerships nationally and support member Hubs locally in order to achieve the vision and mission of the organisation and ensure EHA is a resilient and financially viable enterprise.

From May/June — October/November 2022, depending on your availability, EHA is offering a six-month position for this role at 15 hours per week at $30-$38 per hour (Indicative salary range).

Your focus will be on:

– Improving our fundraising capability and growing the funding base

– Preparing and submitting funding applications and reports

– Developing a diverse range of funding partnerships and opportunities

  • Flair for connecting with people from all types of backgrounds
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • A good understanding of the not-for-profit and environmental sector
  • Ability to work well in a remote team
  • A good sense of humour
  • Knowledge and understanding  of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and/or openness to increasing learning in this area

You will directly report to the EO of EHA and work with our fantastic small team of staff to achieve the objectives above while working from home, or a location otherwise agreed.
