Full-Time National Support Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in a newly established role at a senior level, managing support services and regional work in RainbowYOUTH. You’ll have four direct reports, and oversee the wider support team of nine across Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Tai Tokerau (Northland), Moana-a-Toi (Bay of Plenty) and Taranaki. You don’t need to have management experience – we can provide training for that.
The key responsibilities of the role include developing and implementing policy and procedures across our support work, ensuring the team is well supported, and working alongside our Regional Coordinators and Managers to develop and maintain the services we deliver across Tai Tokerau (Northland), Taranaki and Moana-a-Toi (Bay of Plenty).
We’re looking for someone with a background in youth or support work, who can align our mahi with best practice and ensure we’re delivering safe and sustainable services to rainbow young people. You’ll be passionate about holistic approaches to wellbeing, and the value of lived experience in supporting rainbow communities. You will have a deep commitment to culturally responsive practice and creating space for intersectional identities within RainbowYOUTH services.
This is a wonderful opportunity to whakamana rainbow young people and contribute to the sustainability of a crucial peer-led organisation. In return, you’ll be rewarded with an inclusive and empowering environment, working alongside your peers across the youth sector in Aotearoa. There are some fantastic benefits including a $50 monthly wellbeing allowance, professional supervision, professional development, and flexible working arrangements. This role will involve regular domestic travel.
RainbowYOUTH is committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and we encourage you to discuss your commitment in your application.
