Voluntary Marketing and Social Media Volunteer
The TimeOut Charity is a not for profit organisation providing people with life-threatening illnesses access to holiday homes and baches around New Zealand. These TimeOuts provide the person with a life-threatening illness a chance to relax, reconnect and create lasting memories with family and friends.
They will develop and implement a social media and Google Adwords strategy to increase overall reach and brand awareness. He/she will use social media outlets and Google Adwords to promote TimeOut campaigns, engage the public and increase online presence. They will directly contribute to increasing TimeOut’s capacity to deliver its core services.
Duties and Responsibilities
The coordinator will:
Establish and implement an engagement plan for both our donors and referrers.
Identify key online channels for TimeOut to establish a presence
Develop a social media strategy to support the organization’s purpose,
fundraising activities, and establish targets for increasing online reach
Develop Google Adwords campaigns to assist with our 3 main areas. Brand awareness, house donors and Timeout applicants
As part of the above engagement and Social Media plan create and post regular updates to TimeOut’s social media outlets, including news articles, blog posts, press releases, fundraising appeals, and any other promotional items
This role would suit someone who:
Has some experience of marketing and social media, either through education, work or volunteering
Is an excellent communicator
Is able to write clearly, accurately and concisely
Creativity to create diverse content.
Outgoing, enthusiastic and creative
Works well independently and as part of a team
This position requires a minimum 3 month commitment for approx 1 hour a day or 5 hours a week which can be completed in the office or at home.
