Volunteer Wellington Te Puna Tautoko – Your Community Connector

Volunteer Wellington and branches Volunteer Hutt and Volunteer Porirua play a vital role in the community and voluntary sector, championing volunteering and building the capacity and capability of communities in greater Wellington. We work with 380 community groups providing a diverse volunteer work force needed to deliver their essential services. We provide a comprehensive professional development programme to support best practice in the community sector. Each year we connect 2700 volunteer seekers to voluntary roles and broker more than 100 employee volunteers to complete 100 community projects.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative leader to be the new manager of Volunteer Porirua, our branch office that delivers our services to the diverse communities in Porirua.

This is an exciting and diverse role (20 hrs per week Mon, Wed and Fri) where you have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of communities to support the work they do while also connecting with volunteers from all backgrounds across the Porirua area. You will have an opportunity to use your event management and promotional skills to raise the profile of Volunteer Porirua and celebrate and promote national volunteering events during the year. You will lead a team of diverse volunteers who support us to deliver these services.
