Part-Time Literacy and Numeracy Tutor
Job Description
We are looking for a literacy tutor to join our team. Working one to one and across a wide range of groups in a variety of locations in Nelson and Richmond, this demanding role is rewarding and makes a real difference in our community. It requires proven experience and appropriate qualifications – you must either hold the NZCALNE or be prepared to get it,.
To be successful you will need to be
• experienced in Adult Literacy/Numeracy Tuition
• energetic, resourceful and flexible
• comfortable with technology
• able to build relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds
A preference will be given to candidates with a good working knowledge of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga in order to lead our organisation in working within the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working with our priority students.
The position is based in Nelson.
A driver licence is important.
This is a 20 hour per week permanent, paid position with scope for up to 32 hours/week if demand requires. This is a possible job share.
Due to the timing of this appointment, interviewing will occur in mid-January 2019.
