In this role you will work with Christian Camping across NZ, with the purpose of identifying, developing and supporting young leaders. You will maintain and grow leadership pathways for young people.
This position will provide practical leadership to our camps, and contribute to the overall leadership development of young leaders, camp staff and boards. CCNZ works with facilitators to deliver excellent programming at every level of camp engagement, whether a teenager, a committed staff member, or an experienced board member.
The position is also responsible for ensuring that we are accountable to our various stakeholders (including young people and funders) for the services we deliver.
Whilst we have a good foundation of leadership development and engagement with camps, we are looking for someone who will start with what is known, and is willing and able to help refine the role as we move forward.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful applicant will have the skills and experience required to meet the demands of the role including:
Willingness to travel to camps across Aotearoa for the purposes of running events and connecting with camp staff and young leaders.
Proven experience working with young people to develop them as leaders.
A passion for growing people in their faith journey.
Creativity and self-management.
A great attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
The ability to cultivate a wide range of stakeholder relationships.
Ability to collect hard data on the effectiveness of leadership training.
