Contract Kaitiaki Kaupapa – Mana Taiohi (Project Lead)
Ara Taiohi is excited to announce this high impact role: Kaitiaki Kaupapa – Mana Taiohi (Project Lead).
We need someone who is a mover, a shaker and a disruptor!
The Kaitiaki Kaupapa Lead is a new position that has grown from the vision of its predecessors. This role will coordinate and lead the highly influential Mana Taiohi movement – Poipoia te kakano, kia puawai.
This will focus on three key areas:
– Mana Taiohi revolution,
– Mana Taiohi revitalisation and
– Mana Taiohi regeneration.
We are in search of a dynamic person who is passionate about rangatahi Māori, whānau Māori, Māori Youth Workers, youth development and empowering these people to influence change.
This is a great opportunity to work alongside some incredible humans, striving to fulfil the organisation’s vision, Te Puawaitanga Taiohi o Aotearoa – Young people thriving in Aotearoa.
•Proficient in Te Reo Māori
•Confident in leading tikanga and kaupapa Māori
•Experience in working with rangatahi Māori
•Passionate about making an impactful difference for all young people with an emphasis on rangatahi Māori
•Able to work in a relational way with Youth Workers, managers and government officials
•Ability to set and meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
•Strength in training and facilitation
•Highly organised and great communication skills
•Management and allocation of funds
•Interest in and commitment to young people and the sector that works with them
•Ability to use initiative, work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
•Experience or understanding of working in not for profit and youth development spaces
•Ability to pass all background clearances
•Competent in using computer programmes, Microsoft Office, online forms, Google Drive, social media, website content and design.
