Part-Time Governance and Project Coordinator

Purpose of position
The Governance and Project Coordinator reports directly to the Diocesan Manager, playing a key role on a variety of projects and governance functions that the Diocesan Manager has responsibility over, freeing them up to manage the Anglican Centre Operations team and serve the Diocese as a whole. The Governance and Project Coordinator works closely with a wide range of stakeholders including members of governance bodies and key parish leaders.
Principal responsibilities and key result areas
The Governance and Project Coordinator reports directly to the Diocesan Manager and is primarily responsible for leading specific projects as they are delegated. The role also serves the Diocese’s four governance bodies, working closely with the Diocesan Manager, who represents management at governance meetings, to advance and coordinate the wider work programme.
The ideal Governance and Project Coordinator is someone who has:
• Excellent interpersonal skills that allow them to work effectively with different teams and build strong working relationships across the board
• An ability to thrive in a multifaceted and busy work environment, utilising excellent self-management, proactivity and work prioritisation to coordinate projects and meet deadlines
• An aptitude for improving organisational administration and systems
• An understanding and commitment to the Wellington Diocesan Vision and Values.
This is a part-time position. We are pitching it at approximately 16 hours a week, subject to negotiation. We will be conducting interviews in November, with the role commencing in early 2022.
