Job Description

Fundraising, Campaign & Events Manager

Strategise and spot the potential to create a better
future for Kiwi kids.
Fundraising, Campaign & Events Manager

• Senior role
• Innovation, inspiration and initiative
• North Shore, Albany based

For an innovative strategist with an eye for an opportunity, this is your chance to join a dream team of creative, dedicated and passionate individuals. They are part of the KidsCan family, who have been making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged young New Zealanders for over a decade. Through their work, thousands of children around the country start their day fed, dry and warm so they can engage at school and have a better chance of reaching their full potential in life. It’s stuff most of us take for granted, but is sadly a growing need with one in four Kiwi kids being born into hardship. Kid-sCan’s fundraising campaigns, partnerships and events are vital to ensuring they continue to meet the demand for services and achieve amazing results. Which is where you come in!

Working alongside the GM Marketing and Fundraising, you’ll evolve the KidsCan fundraising campaigns, partnerships and events strategy to leverage opportunities, maximise potential and create new and innovative fundraising ideas. You’ll drive and bring to life the fundraising campaigns, partnerships and events portfolio to achieve, and ideally exceed, targets and KPIs. Here, your ability to identi-fy opportunities for sponsorship and fundraising partnerships, with both corporates and the communi-ty, will be key, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships for the long-term. You’ll have an awesome direct report to help you make magic happen as well as the collaborative support of the wider KidsCan team.

We’re looking for a seasoned project manager, who can work independently and communicate clearly. Your experience building relationships, generating ideas and negotiating outcomes will impress together with a knack for writing proposals and presentations and public speaking. Cool under pressure, highly motivated and productive, you’ll be very comfortable with deadlines, multi-tasking, problem solving and adapting to change. A background in fund-raising and events would be an advantage, while initiative, positivity and the ability to inspire those around you is absolutely essential.

In return, KidsCan offers an innovative and flexible working environment where you can look forward to being surrounded by passionate people who, like you, love what they do. In addition to a competitive salary, you can also enjoy the lifestyle advantages of a central North Shore base in Albany.
