Based in Tauranga, in the sunny Bay of Plenty, The Kollective – TK is New Zealand’s largest co- working space, dedicated to the success of not for profit, social enterprise and charitableorganisations. The Kollective provides an administrative work-home along with onsite meeting and connection spaces, all in a stunning, modern, award-winning building located at the Historic Village on Ngai Tamarawaho whenua.

Founded by TECT and managed by SociaLink WBOP (an organisation that supports and strengthens the community and social sector) , The Kollective is a place that exudes a passion for community.

The Role

We are looking for a front desk and administrator extraordinaire that wants to bring their smile and good cheer to our small team and TK members. You will be the friendly face of The Kollective and create a warm welcome for everyone that comes through our doors. We are so proud of our supportive and inclusive culture and are looking for someone who shares our values.

You will work well under pressure and multitask your daily admin tasks with handling customer and member queries, helping to set up meeting spaces, ensuring the building is presented to a high standard, and be happy to get stuck in wherever it is required! You will have a creative flair and will enjoy sharing ideas to help create our small member events. A  solid understanding of how to create content with Canva and what makes a great social media post is really important to keep our audience engaged. You will have a solution focused attitude. Great communication skills and computer proficiency are essential.

Key areas of responsibility:

Creating a warm welcome for all visitors and members

Getting to know members, understanding their role and seeing potential for professional collaboration.

Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft ( Word, Excel, Outlook)

A solid understanding of various social media platforms and how to engage with our audience.

Good IT skills. You will need to know how to figure out basic IT issues for yourself and members. If you don’t know, you’ll know how to find out!

Answering emails and phone inquiries in a friendly manner Using booking platform and CRM

Helping to set up meeting spaces.Some lifting and moving of furniture will be involved so you will need to be fit and healthy.

Initial fixed term contract until March 31 2023 with the intention to extend to permanent employment
