New Zealand Orthopaedic Association (NZOA) is the professional Association representing Orthopaedic Surgeons. They provide leadership in all matters relating to orthopaedic surgery, including professional advocacy, the selection and training of orthopaedic surgeons, continuing professional development and funding orthopaedic research.

They are seeking an exceptional team player to join their fun, supportive and social environment. This is a part time role of up to 20 hours per week and could be a great return to work position with flexibility in hours and school holidays as an option for the right candidate.

You will work within a busy team to support the administrative functions of Education and Training, as well as others in the organisation as needed.

Just some of the responsibilities include organising logistics for training events, providing support for the Training and Information Management System, assisting with exam preparation, meeting support including agenda preparation, managing the hospital inspection process, and maintaining website content.

To achieve this, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication, administration and interpersonal skills, be highly organised and attentive to detail, and willing to take initiative and pitch in where needed.

Person Profile:

  • Proven administration experience in a similar role
  • A strong customer service ethos and confidence to embrace high standards
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building capabilities
  • Well organised with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Resilient, self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite, CRM databases and current office technology 
  • Ability to travel domestically on occasion, sometimes overnight
  • Enthusiastic, resilient team player, sense of humour and a great attitude
