The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ is recruiting a Database Specialist for its Auckland-based Engagement Directorate – working within the Data & Supporter Services Team. Join us and help eliminate avoidable blindness.

The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ carries on the work New Zealander the late Professor Fred Hollows (1929-1993). We work in the Pacific to restore sight to the needlessly blind and train local eye health specialists to provide eye care services in their own communities. Scope of role:
The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ is recruiting a Database Specialist to join our wonderful Data & Supporter Services Team. As Specialist you will be responsible for importing and exporting of data while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the database. Additionally, you will work with the Database Manager on segemation and support for team members on such activities as gift entry, debit processing and financial reporting.
This means you need to be adept at working collaboratively and possess strong customer service skills, making you good at understanding others’ requirements and working effectively with them to deliver their requirements. This is a great opportunity for a Database Specialist with some exposure on working with selections to make the next step in their career.
The CRM System the Foundation uses is Raisers Edge NXT and it is expected that applicants have proficiency in this system or something similar.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives:
Database
* RE Data Input / Output
* RE Procedures, Training, and Support
* Data hygiene
Donation Processing & Financial Support
* Regular Gift Processing
* Letters and Receipts
* Gift entry back-up
* Supporter Services phones back-up
Back-up Supporter Care
* Fundraising Administration
The successful candidate will have:
* At least two years Database management experience
* Experience using Raiser’s Edge for data for importing and exporting manipulation and extraction
* Demonstrable experience of database marketing requirements including segmentation.
It would be advantageous to have:
* Understanding of what is required to maintain PCI compliance
* University degree in a Computer Science/Engineering/Maths related subject
* Experience delivering data analysis for raising funds.
