Full-Time Community Relationship Coordinator

Presbyterian Support Northern –  Auckland City, Auckland

Job Description

This exciting new position will be an advocate and a champion for change by raising awareness of social issues and Presbyterian Support Northern’s (PSN) services through initiating community led development initiatives within the Northern region of the North Island. Together with the Community Relationships Manager you will actively embrace PSN’s vision and mission and weave the organisations values into all community relationships, initiatives and service partnership opportunities.

You will creatively promote and support PSN’s services to strengthen PSN’s relationships with PCANZ, presbyteries, ministers, parishes and schools and community groups.

To be successful in this role you will have the following:
•An entrepreneurial bent with experience in planning and progressing community initiatives
•Good project management skills
•Passionate, motivated, self-directed and accustomed to working autonomously, whilst confident working with or being part of a team
•Familiarity with Presbyterian church and/or church culture
•Well developed and demonstrated public speaking skills
•Creative thinker, with strong conceptual and planning skills
•Understands the importance of working collaboratively with different organisations
•Strong relationship builder, culturally aware and responsive to needs of different cultural groups, ie Maori or Pacific people
