Board position Board Member with transition to Board Chair
Give back to your community: Put your governance experience to use in the voluntary sector with Samaritans of Wellington mental health telephone helpline who are celebrating their 55th Anniversary this year. If you have Board Chair experience, excellent people & financial skills and the ability to guide, lead and inspire a small voluntary agency board, we would love to hear from you. We wish to appoint a candidate to our Board as a Director immediately so that they can stand for election at the AGM in August 2020. This is an unpaid, voluntary role for a term of 3 years extendable for another 3 years. You will have working relationships with our Volunteer Operations, Finance and Fundraising committees, as well as liaison as required of 3 part-time staff members. You will need to be available for approx 25 hours per month to attend the monthly evening Board meeting and associated tasks, as well as representing Samaritans at meetings or events as required during the day or evening.
