Voluntary Board Member – Trustee

NESA –  Auckland City, Auckland

Job Description

NESA was started by 1 person who was hit by a drunk driving in 2015. Luckily, she survived the crash and now wants others to feel loved and supported when they have been impacted by a drunk or drugged driver. We also have reached over 15,000 people with the message to drive sober through our work with the NZ Police at their anti-drunk driving checkpoints and are growing our Ambassador programme this year.

You can be based anywhere in the Auckland region!

This Board role will play to your strengths and aspirations but also we will work with you to give you the unique opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience that will not only develop you but will also help us to meet our ambitious strategtic plans.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

Attend all Board meetings
Promote the vision and purpose of our organisation
Represent the values of the organisation
Act with integrity, honesty and loyalty in decision making
Provide accounting advice, corporate and financial ideas to the CEO and Board
Work with the CEO on developing financial and corporate plans
Act in the best interests of NESA and equally important the people we support.
ABOUT YOU

Come and bring the following experience to our role:

Proven experience in a Financial/accounting or corporate role.
Background in volunteering in a not for profit organisation
Demonstrated board and governance skills.
An out of the box thinker and degree of gravitas.
Fun and energetic approach and a team player who likes chocolate and coffee(preferred but not necessary).
