Contract Assistant to the Director

Depression Recovery Trust  Wellington City, Wellington $35ph

Job Description

Assistant to Director of a new mental health initiative in Wellington

  •       New organisation, establishment position
  •       3-month fixed term, may extend

The newly established organisation, The Depression Recovery Trust is setting up a new service in Wellington for adults who are experiencing moderate to severe depression and/or anxiety. At present the Trust is at its formative stage and the Director is seeking a person with good initiative and a ‘can-do’ attitude to support him in this very important set- up phase and potentially continue into the operational phase.

Duties will include personal assistant to the Director across a wide range of tasks including fundraising, securing and fitting out premises, programme development, managing Board meetings, stakeholder engagement and communications and the myriad of other duties required when a new organisation is being established.

You will need to have experience in office support, excellent written and oral communication skills, be computer literate and have a proactive willingness to handle a broad range of responsibilities and tasks.

This is initially a 3-month hourly rate contract and once the organisation is established, the role will be re-assessed so there could be an ongoing position.

If you are a proactive, capable individual who loves the idea of making a difference in the Wellington community, we would love to hear from you. Immediate start.
