Contract 4 x Restoration/Community Engagement Stars needed!
Do you like the idea of working alongside a team of volunteers passionate about ecological restoration? Are you motivated? with initiative and drive? able to work independently – and also as part of a team?
Pest Free Kaipātiki Restoration Society (PFK) is a community-led organisation with a small team of restoration specialists complemented by an engine room of fantastic volunteers and working closely with the Local Board and with Council specialists.
We are delighted to be improving the support we give to our volunteers with the expansion of our team; we have a number of roles to fill in the New Year.
We have a wealth of important projects to tackle and are looking for enthusiastic people to fill several part time positions to support our volunteers as they engage in actions against predators, pest plants and kauri dieback.
We are seeking:
Restoration Adviser – Pest Plants (20 hours per week)
Restoration Assistant (20 hours per week)
Engagement Coordinator (20 hours per week)
Kauri Dieback Educator (casual)
Each of these roles requires you to be flexible about work hours as there will be some weekend and evening work. You must also have your own transport and a current driving licence – travel costs will be reimbursed. Applicants for these positions should be able to provide evidence of NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
You may feel that your experience and qualifications suit you to more than one of the positions – in which case, you only need to submit one application – but list the positions that interest you and any special skills you have with each.
Keywords: Ecology, native biodiversity, indigenous, restoration, conservation, community, kauri dieback
