Manuka Cottae ACHI is a physical base in Addington for Community Development. Our purpose is to engage with the community to build its own social cohesion and identity. It aims to:
– Encourage a sense of belonging and participation, and to help support individuals, families and groups to end social isolation
– Act as a meeting place to share information and encourage access to resources
– Increase local residents’ knowledge and understanding of each other’s cultural values and differences
– Encourage a sense of community belonging
– Provide an ‘umbrella status’ for the development and establishment of emerging community projects and services
It does this through activities, groups and projects.
