White Elephant Trust Manager

White Elephant is a youth focussed charitable trust established in 2005. Our mission is providing opportunities for young people to explore their strengths and find their fit, so that we have a community where every young person has a sense of identity and belonging.

We are a small organisation, currently operating a 2x person team under a volunteer board of trustees. The day to day operations are assisted by a group of dedicated volunteers.

The Position: We’re looking for a new manager to take our new strategic plan and make it happen, taking the organisation to the next level. The pay range we’re offering is $40,000 to $60,000. There’s room for the right candidate to negotiate hours within 32 to 40.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in the following areas:

NFP management

Human resources


Working in the youth sector

Collaboration and networking

Impact measurement

Project management

Using technology and modern systems effectively to maximise efficiency

Desirable attributes

Creative thinking

Passionate about working for the benefit of rangatahi

Comfortable working both autonomously and in a team

A people person with the ability to collaborate and network with a diverse range of individuals and organisations

Confident, outgoing and with good communication skills

Someone who is organised and understands the importance of planning
