Are you an experienced web and social media content editor keen to make your mark?

Want to work for a good cause and be part of our digital transformation?

We’re looking for an experienced digital communications professional who is confident across a range of digital channels and passionate about seeking out new opportunities to engage with members to promote our organisational goals.  We are developing a new website to better reflects NZEI Te Riu Roa’s refreshed brand, commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and meets the needs of our audiences (primarily current members and new members).

You will have a flair for social media and experience producing high quality content online.  You know how to develop effective strategies to increase and monitor online engagement and you enjoy working in a team environment.  You will be an experienced user of a range of content management systems and social media platforms and have a solid understanding of the technical, analytics and usability improvement tools associated with digital products.

A passion for plain English and producing accessible web content is essential in this role. Experience in producing content in Te Reo Māori or Te Reo fluency would be advantageous.

NZEI Te Riu Roa is a collective of 47,000 passionate educators working in schools, early childhood services and in Learning Support all over New Zealand.

We are a Treaty based organisation and use our collective strength to set the agenda in areas like child poverty and equal pay for women.  We support each other to win the gains that children and their educators need.

Every day we go to work and change lives.  But there is heaps more to do. Join with us and, together, we’ll be even stronger for children’s education.

NZEI Te Riu Roa welcomes and supports people of all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religions, and disabilities/ abilities.  An expectation of this role is to actively support and promote our diversity and inclusion principles.  We want NZEI Te Riu Roa to be a place where you can bring your whole self to work.
