Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator – Code Club Aotearoa
Digital Future Aotearoa run initiatives focused on providing digital enablement for all New Zealanders.
Our largest program, Code Club Aotearoa is looking for an enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to join the team at the start of 2019.
Code Club is working to help New Zealand reach its digital potential by ensuring equitable access to great digital technologies education for all kiwi students. We need your help to connect and support volunteers and school communities across the North Island.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role would suit an organised, process-driven person who is passionate about education and technology. Skills you’ll need for this role at the top of our list include:
– You need to be personable, professional and enthusiastic about edu-tech as you’ll be the go-to person for our volunteers, schools and the companies we partner with.
– Experience with community engagement and building with a diverse group
Technical skills required to be part of a remote team, with an advantage to having a background in edu-tech and coding (but not a requirement).
– The ability to manage processes.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our volunteers have a smooth experience with Code Club Aotearoa, that schools have a touch point if they need anything, and that technology companies know about our opportunities to volunteer. You’ll be the face of Code Club Aotearoa at events, including some you’ll run yourself, which means you need to be comfortable working in a busy environment with children, teachers and volunteers. If that’s not enough to sink your teeth into, we’ll also get you to help us out with delivering our nationwide programmes.
This is a part-time role for 20 hours per week (some flexibility required due to events) based in the upper North Island for $25 per hour.
