Voluntary Tool Librarian

Job Description
The Auckland Library of Tools (ALoT) is a community hub that provides members with access to a broad range of tools and equipment, reduces unnecessary consumption, and empowers people to build, share and create in a more sustainable way. ALoT is expanding, and need more librarians to help run the library.
As a librarian, you will be answering member enquiries, processing loans, cataloging items, and checking over our tools and equipment. Full training is provided, and we are particularly interested in volunteers who can carry out tool maintenance and repair.
Volunteer perks include a free membership to the tool library, with access to over 700 tools and equipment, free loans on all items and out of hours access to the library.
We are currently seeking volunteers who can regularly commit to a shift each fortnight during our open hours (5:30pm – 7.30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10.30am – 1:30pm Saturdays).
ALoT is located on Newton Rd, and shares a building with makerspace, Hackland.
