We are looking for a Registered health clinician – Psychologist, Social Worker, Nurse, or Occupational Therapist to lead and inspire a team.

About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

We are looking for a Team Coach to lead our new REAL Youth Primary mental health and addictions service in Whanganui. This role will report to Service and Relationship Manager, who will provide support, coaching and region-wide leadership.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, with afterhours on call on a rotational basis, and is based in Whanganui.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carry a caseload of young people Leading a team of 1 clinician and 2 youth workers.
  • Provide coaching to team members and inspire each team member to exceed their personal best and to deliver exceptional service
  • Oversee the contract and ensure the coordination and wellbeing needs of taiohi and stakeholders are met.
  • Close collaboration with various stakeholders in the youth sector within Whanganui such as the DHB, schools, the larger community, and the social sector.
  • Supporting taiohi (12-24 years) with mild and moderate mental health and addiction concerns

You | Mōu

We are interested to hear from candidates who have a current health registration (Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Social Worker)

  • You’ll come with a leadership experience and great at building team culture.
  • You have ability to cope under pressure and use own initiative when required in a flexible and changing environment
  • A HPCAA recognised qualification and current practicing certificate
  • A current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • A full clean NZ driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people with complex mental health and addiction needs.
