Our new Tauranga campus is opening soon and we are looking for a Student Health Nurse to provide nursing care to our students at the campus from February 2019.

As Student Health Nurse you will play a pivotal role in the functioning of the health service in Tauranga working under standing orders. You will provide front line nursing care, assist students in engaging with local primary care services and provide health promotion services to the campus community.

You will be expected to develop and maintain key links within the service, across the wider organisation and external agencies.

Along with significant post-graduate nursing experience, you will have experience in health promotion initiatives. Your ability to communicate clearly complex information to people and groups with various levels of health literacy will be an advantage. A Bachelor of Nursing or comparable degree and full nursing registration with the Nursing Council New Zealand are essential.

You will bring a high standard of clinical skill in illness and injury, as well as the ability to relate well to students and understand the issues that they face.

This role should appeal if you are ready to utilise your nursing expertise where it is highly valued. Students can be in a vulnerable position, and you will be ensuring that their health and wellbeing are well-supported so they can focus on their education and build their futures.

Salary will be in the range of $69,828 to $80,501 per year, pro rata, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

This position is part-time 32 hours per week.
