Full-Time Recruitment Manager

LRTT Limited Resource Teacher Training –  Christchurch City, Canterbury

Job Description

Timeline: This is an ongoing role with an initial 1 year contract and the opportunity to extend and develop as the organisation grows.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week. The role involves communicating with teachers when they are available. As such working in the evenings and weekends is typical, alongside our wider team who follow similar working hours. We are open to job sharing.

Reporting to: ​Marketing and Recruitment Director

Location: Christchurch, New Zealand (60% based in a shared office space with our team, 40% from home)

Deadline: Saturday 30th June 2018


We are looking for a highly motivated professional in the field of recruitment and communications. Being able to see the bigger picture and share our vision is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively as part of a global team, have the people-skills to relate to our applicants and have the technological confidence to operate across a range of tools and platforms. The Recruitment Manager will be responsible for the recruitment of Fellows through replying to enquiries and interviewing applicants to meet deadlines. This position will be a key point in the applicant journey so the ability to analyse data and suggest improvements to the process would be a sought-after skill.

Key Responsibilities

1. Working as part of a global team:

Co-work with our New Zealand based staff in Christchurch 3-5 days per week.
Prepare for the weekly call by adding discussion points to agenda.
Communicate daily with the team to respond to queries or give updates if they are required.

2. Enthusing and encouraging excellent teachers:

Take ownership over a subset of enquiries and respond to them within set time periods.
Make calls that are personable, break down barriers for potential applicants and encourage them to submit an application.
Take ownership for a subset of email enquiries.
Make use of a bank of pre-saved responses to send professional and informative emails to enquiries.
Communicate effectively and purposefully with the aim of encouraging great teachers to apply.

3. Interviewing and selecting inspiring applicants:

Arrange interviews and engage with applicants to ensure they attend interviews
Interviews should follow LRTT’s interview guide, to ensure that the person is suitable
Once an understanding of their suitability has been established, the call should move to focussing on encouraging the applicant to join LRTT
4. Use our technology platforms efficiently and effectively:

Using SalesForce and Trello to track the journey of applicants and enquiries.
Engage our Intercom visitors and encourage them to apply through rich information and good conversation.
Improve the Intercom platform to allow for a more automated, efficient and informative experience for website visitors.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary will be dependent on experience ranging from $NZ 45,000 to $NZ 55,000 per year, paid on an hourly basis.

Hours will be trackable using the online tool, Hubstaff.

Membership and access to Bizdojo community and co-working space.

The opportunity to work for 3-4 weeks per year alongside one of our Fellowships in Africa, Asia or South America (all expenses paid).

An element of flexibility with working hours.

Typical working expenses will be covered as agreed.
