Full-Time Recruitment Manager

LRTT Limited Resource Teacher Training –  Christchurch City, Canterbury

Job Description

Position: Recruitment support and systems development (70%) and International Programme management (30%)

Timeline: This is an ongoing role with an initial 1 year contract and the opportunity to extend and develop as the organisation grows.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week. The role involves communicating with teachers and international partners when they are available. As such working in the mornings, evenings and weekends is typical, alongside our wider team who follow similar working hours.

Recruitment (70%)
1. Enthusing and encouraging teachers to join an LRTT Fellowship or Volunteer Uganda Programme.
a. Take ownership over a subset of enquiries and respond to them within set time periods.
b. Make calls that are personable, break down barriers for potential applicants and encourage them to submit an application.
c. Take ownership for a subset of email enquiries to provide professional and informative responses.
d. Communicate effectively and purposefully with the aim of encouraging great teachers to apply.

2. Interviewing and selecting applicants for LRTT and Volunteer Uganda.
a. Arrange interviews and engage with applicants to ensure they attend interviews.
b. Conduct interviews in accordance with LRTT’s interview guide to determine the suitability of applicants.
c. Build a positive relationship with suitable applicants through the interview process, encouraging them to join an LRTT Fellowship or our alternative Volunteer Uganda programme.
d. Show initiative and a proactive approach to following up with suitable applicants to ensure that they follow through and join a Fellowship team.

3. Use our technology platforms efficiently and effectively.
a. Using SalesForce and Trello to track the journey of applicants and enquiries.
b. Engage our LiveChat visitors and encourage them to apply through rich information and good conversation.
c. Use Calendly to schedule interviews and enquiry calls across a range of timezones.

Programme Management (30%)

Manage 1-2 programme regions (approximately 5 Fellowships)
Liaise with in-country partner organisations to make all necessary arrangements for successful Fellowships (eg in Malaysia and Cambodia)
Support for Team Leaders (2-3 per Fellowship) with their onboarding, training and regular check-ins on the project management of Fellowships.
Respond to enquiries from Fellows and potential applicants
May include travel to programme region(s)
