Full-Time Property and Administration Manager

The Presbyterian Church Property Trustees (PCPT) have custodial responsibility for many of the church’s assets; they are the legal entity in which property of congregations north of the Waitaki River are vested, and which holds and invests church trust funds.

Reporting to the Executive Officer, the Property and Administration Manager plays a pivotal role in the work of the Trustees’ office with responsibility for the execution of property and related transactions and the Trustees’ meeting regime, and contributing to the smooth running of the office.

To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Administrative Manager with strong property management and secretariat skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work across the wider team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Checking applications for all major property renovations ensuring all required documentation is provided in accordance with the Trustees’ rules and guidelines
• Verifying and approving property sale agreements and related transactions
• Maintaining accurate records on the property database
• Organising Trustee and Committee meetings including setting agendas, distributing papers, minute taking and arranging travel and accommodation for Trustees
• Assisting members of the Ministers’ Beneficiary Fund and parishes invested in the Presbyterian Investment Fund
• Responding to enquiries and providing Parishes with accurate and up to date information in accordance with Trustees’ rules and regulations
• Assisting the Executive Officer and Financial Administrator as required and stepping into those roles in their absence
• Other general administration to keep the office running smoothly

Person Profile:
• Proven working experience in property management and/or administration or similar
• A background within a trustee, asset and property management, contract management, investment, financial or legal environment is preferable
• Detailed oriented and strong attention to detail
• Well organised with an ability prioritise and work to tight deadlines
• Highly collaborative with proven success in building and maintaining exceptional stakeholder relationships
• A good sense of humour and team player
• Methodical and pragmatic approach
• Proven business acumen and financial literacy
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Flexible approach and ability to work within an evolving environment
• A relevant tertiary qualification would be desirable
