About Us:

Our mission is to empower people to achieve success and economic independence. We do this by providing a network of support, suitable clothing and development tools to help them achieve their aspirations.

The cornerstone of our work is our dressing programme which provides individual styling advice and clothing for interviews and the first week of a new job.  We are also in the process of re-establishing a range of other programmes to support people into work and help them get ahead on their career journey. These include careers advice, mentoring, and monthly workshops, as well as our prison programme helping women integrate back into the community.

To achieve this mahi we work with a range of partners, referral agencies and community organisations including NGOs and relevant agencies for Maori and Pasifika people, disabled people, refugees and migrants.

About the role: 

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our small, friendly team. We’re looking for someone with great communication skills and a marketing background. The goal is to increase the number of clients benefiting from our programmes, so the focus is on promoting our programmes and strengthening our relationships with our referral agencies, including MSD.

Our dressing programme is top of the list. It is truly transformational, providing clients with bags of confidence and the belief they can get the job. Each client spends around an hour with a fully trained volunteer stylist during which they receive advice on what styles suit them best, how to make the most of their appearance and tips on looking confident for interviews. Our clients often describe the session as life changing and leave us with a broad smile and standing 10 inches taller.

The programme will be fun and rewarding to promote, and is a great opportunity for a creative thinker who wants to help people be the best they can be and who enjoys relationship building. 

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Working with our referral agencies to promote our programmes and increase client numbers.
  • Recruiting, leading and inspiring our volunteers to ensure we can deliver programmes to increased numbers of clients.
  • Working with our Executive Manager to develop a marketing plan to ensure all of our programmes are well-known and supported among our stakeholders.
