Voluntary Porirua District Fund Grant Maker

Job Description

Nikau Foundation is looking for community-minded people to join the Porirua District Fund committee.

This Fund has grown out of the $5m+ of historical assets of the Porirua Community Trust which will be invested with the returns flowing back to the Porirua Community.

The Porirua District Fund committee will be involved in directing the focus of this Fund and in making recommendations about where the grants will go. While a voluntary position you will have input into impactful grant-making decisions, learn about grant-making and have some impressive skills to add to your CV.

The current, interim committee members – Rebecca Morahan, Izzy Ford, Tim Sheppard and Eleanor Cater – may choose to remain and are looking for a committee makeup that will ensure diversity of thought and experience and represent the communities of Porirua City. The committee will comprise of 4-8 members.
