National Support Leader
The PSA, Te Pūkenga Here Tikanga Mahi is the largest union in New Zealand and is an innovative and dynamic organisation employing over 170 staff throughout New Zealand. We are a membership-based organisation with a bicultural structure. Te Rūnanga o Ngā Toa Āwhina is the Māori arm of the PSA membership. We have more than 76,000 members working in central and local government, health and community services. The focus of the PSA is to advance the interests of members through the political, industrial, economic and social environment. The PSA takes a strategic approach to building unionism.
We have a recently created National Support Leader position available within our organisation. The core purpose of the National Support Leader role is to provide leadership, guidance and direction, mentoring, and collegial and professional support to support and organising teams. To provide leadership pertinent to each team, including prioritisation, work allocation and content and relevant aspects of organising/support for organising. These 2 roles have overall responsibility for the Membership Team, Organising Administrators, Delegate Education administrators, Delegate Education organisers, staff who support our member Networks, Growth team and Member support centre. The successful applicant will work alongside one other National Support Leader, and will focus primarily on our Delegate Education, Networks, and Organising Administrators. This role is fulltime and preferably based in our Wellington office.
