Job Description

The role is to coordinate relationships with media, with the aim of securing good coverage of Mindful Money and the issues of responsible Investment that we are promoting. The position will report to the Marketing Manager. The key tasks are to:
• Develop and maintain a media contacts list for outreach and record media coverage
• Develop approaches to target the most appropriate media outlets with news, human interest stories, events, photos and videos
• Monitor media coverage related to Mindful Money and the issues we work on
• Build good relationships with key media and develop stories for their audiences

Mindful Money is looking for a volunteer who is committed to making a positive change in the world. The role will suit someone who has strong communications skills, including:
• Well organised, thorough and able to show initiative
• Strong written and oral communications and able to use spreadsheets (Excel)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in order to capture the news cycle
• Experience of media work from within the media or in an organisation engaging the media
• Strong visual communications, including photos, video and graphics, is desirable
