Part-Time Marketing and Communications Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communication Manager to join our team for 32 hours per week. As a member of our Marketing and Fundraising team, you will have the opportunity to play a leading role in shaping and delivering our marketing, communication and PR activities to ensure long term financial stability.
Waipuna Hospice is the sole provider of specialist community palliative care in the rapidly growing Western Bay of Plenty and just completed an expansion to provide additional day services as well as its well established inpatient unit and community team.

You will be an established, hands-on marketing or communications professional with direct experience of shaping and delivering marketing and communications strategies for external supporters and stakeholders and of creating a broad range of cost-effective tactical, reactive and brand campaigns across print, broadcast and events. Experience in CRM database system, website and content production, and in shaping and implementing integrated digital strategies are essential.
As part of the team, you will oversee and coordinate all project communications and PR activity, working closely with our Service Delivery teams, Retail teams; being the guardian of our Waipuna Hospice brand, whilst meeting the communications needs of our partners, funders and supporters.
You will need strong people, communication and organisation skills as you will be building relationships with, and pitching wide ranging concepts and stories to journalists, funders and other stakeholders on a regular basis. You will be at the forefront of showcasing compelling human interest stories from the organisation’s broad remit of work.
The hours of work are across 5 days, and are negotiable for the right candidate.
