Job Description

School Eats is a social enterprise that sells and delivers delicious, healthy school lunches at an affordable cost to students in West Auckland. This initiative was co-designed by students at Lincoln Heights School in partnership with Healthy Families Waitakere and Our City Church.

Children spend a large portion of their day at school therefore, schools can play a powerful role in keeping our children healthy by creating a healthier culture that supports them to eat healthy food. School Eats makes nutritious lunches with love to nourish children’s minds, so that they can do better at school.

– Follow a simple recipe
– Cook simple meals
– Good time management
– Ability to work as a team and also independently
– Reliable and flexible

– Prepare and cook the food for daily lunches
– Baking
– Washing dishes
– Cleaning duties
– maintain food hygiene and food safety standards at all times
– Keeping the kitchen tidy to a high standard
– Update stock control sheets as required and perform stock take from time to time
– Complete temperature and cleaning records

Ideal applicant will have:
– A willingness to learn
– Passion for cooking

– Monday 11:30am – 1pm
– Wednesday 11:30am – 1pm
– Friday 11:30am – 1pm
– Applicants can give anywhere from 1 hr to 10hrs per week, fortnight or month
