Part-Time Key Relationships Executive
Wanted: someone with passion for social justice who can inspire others to join our fight against poverty
At Oxfam, we’re ending the injustice of poverty. For everyone. For good. We work alongside those impacted by disasters, and help them rebuild afterwards. We confront the causes that keep people poor, like extreme inequality, discrimination against women, climate change, and the eviction of people from their land. We work alongside people living in less wealthy countries to build better lives for themselves. For Oxfam staff this work gets us out of bed with the certainty that our work day is making a difference.
We offer a great and flexible working environment with a supportive culture, strong values and the opportunity to be part of a small, dedicated and hard-working team making a positive difference in our world. This role in particular is suited for someone looking for a healthy work-life balance.
We have an opening in our fundraising team for a driven person with excellent relationship management skills – who is looking for part-time work, for the perfect work-life balance!
We need someone who:
– gets a buzz from inspiring people to take positive action and fight poverty
– will challenge the status quo when things can be done better and then roll their sleeves up and get it done
– loves to get out of the office and meet many amazing people around New Zealand
– is a dynamic self-starter who shares our values of Courage, Justice and Connectedness
As Key Relationships Executive you will be soliciting gifts from high net-worth individuals in support of Oxfam’s work. By exhibiting the highest level of tact, business acumen, negotiation skills and diplomacy you will expand your portfolio of high net-worth individuals and improve relations with existing supporters. Prospecting, independently representing Oxfam and soliciting support from potential high net-worth individuals will come natural to you.
You are looking for part-time work for that perfect work-life balance (24 hours per week with the possibility for up to around 30 hours). You have a passion for social justice, and are able to transfer that enthusiasm onto others and get them to support our development & humanitarian work. Your communication and relationship management skills are evident, as shown in the variety of Fundraising / Account management experience you have. Your confidence and ability to work well in a team are second to none, and you have a demonstrated commitment to Oxfam’s values of courage, justice and connectedness. You will have good general computer skills including intermediate level Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of CRM systems or customer databases, and accurate data entry skills.
In return we offer the flexibility of working hours, great work culture and an amazing global Oxfam network. Join us!
The post is for a part-time role, and attracts an annual salary of $65,674 pro rata (and possibly more depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate).
