Part-Time Kaiwhakahaere / Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a feminist organisation working to eliminate violence. The management role is a new position within the Women’s Self Defence Network – Wāhine Toa, and you will work with the Board in shaping the current and future direction of the network.
You will have responsibility for all operations of the network, and will work closely with a small administration team (approx 1.5 FTE) to enable our teachers to work to their best capacity in schools and communities right across the country.
This position is being offered at 0.5 FTE with the possibility of future growth.
You will have key skills in:
*working within or alongside Te Ao Māori
*written and verbal communication
*increasing and taking opportunities for funding
*increasing visibility for the work of the network
*negotiating agreement within the organisation for future change
*articulating and leading intersectional feminist strategies for violence prevention
*developing relationships within and beyond the network
*developing relationships with government
*leading the wellbeing of a network organisation
