Part-Time Financial Administrator

EHA is a for-purpose network, supporting community-led solutions that empower regeneration and resilience. We envision connected communities regenerating te taiao and our 21 member hubs are working towards this throughout Aotearoa. EHA recognises Te Tiriti as the founding document of Aotearoa.

Across Aotearoa, 21 Environment Hubs run programmes, answer public queries, and host events and workshops. They increase home performance, water and energy efficiency, promote gardening and food sovereignty, build community, protect nature, support active transport and much more. Our members are highly resourceful, running successful enterprises to create income and matching donations with volunteer enthusiasm. By working together nationally through Environment Hubs Aotearoa we bring better opportunities to more communities and scale up the positive effect for our environment. To support the local work of our member network we run a national coordination office that connects, inspires and empowers the members.

We are looking for a Financial Administrator to join our fun team, supporting and coordinating the work of EHA and the Environment Hubs throughout Aotearoa. Our ideal new Coordinator will be a confident team player, with loads of initiative and a great sense of humour. 

This role is part-time, working around 5hrs a week, with possible extra hours for project work, and we aim to be flexible with how this fits in with your other priorities. You will be joining 5 other lovely wahine who work from home around Aotearoa working independently and together to achieve EHA’s aims. 

 You will have some skills and experience in the following:

  • Passion for sustainability and Te Taiao
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • A good understanding of the not-for-profit sector
  • Ability to work well in a remote team
  • A good sense of humour  
  • Knowledge and understanding  of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and/or openness to increasing learning in this area

You will directly report to the Executive Officer of EHA and work from home, or a location otherwise agreed.
