About the Organisation

About the Role
Prince’s Trust New Zealand is currently in its first stage of significant growth – we are getting ready to push our waka out from shore.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a small and dedicated team with an engaged and supportive Board. This is a newly created permanent role, reporting directly to the CEO, this role will ensure the ongoing success of PTNZ by organising and maintaining the organisation’s day-to-day key accounting procedures.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero
• Overseeing all bill payments and invoicing requirements
• Administering and coordinating all payroll activities
• Working with Fundraising Director to manage and reconcile donations and fundraising efforts
• Preparing detailed reports for the Board, Prince’s Trust Group and as required for stakeholders, funders and others

The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in a Financial Administrator or similar role.

Expertise and knowledge in Xero and MS Excel is preferred, with the ability to ultimately help PTNZ manage and allocate its resources effectively. We’re looking for an outstanding candidate who has a good understanding of bookkeeping procedures, possesses exceptional relationship building skills, and a confident ability to effectively interact with people from all cultures, religions, geographies and organisations. You will thrive in an innovative environment and be an excellent problem solver.

The Prince’s Trust New Zealand is currently located in the Auckland CBD. This role is 20 hours per week, with the option for flexibility and remunerated at an intermediate level.
