Full-Time ECE Curriculum Lead and 2IC

Job Description

We’ve got an exciting new teaching and assistant manager position that will support the Centre Manager with the running of the Centre and help lead the Curriculum plans. This position offers the chance to:

The day to day responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Providing quality day to day holistic care and education for children
- Actively participating in the programme with children to encourage and enhance learning
- Helping design curriculum plans that are consistent with Te Whāriki 2017 and reflects current understanding of sound and effective practice
- Leading implementation of agreed curriculum, including coaching an dguiding staff to work effectively with tamariki and whānau
- Helping the Manager ensure the professional standards of the centre are maintained
- Participating positively within the team
This is a full time permament position of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Those most likely to succeed will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary level ECE qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience working in an ECE envirionment
- Experience leading others is desirable
- Proven experience in the development and applicatoin of curriculum based progrmames in early childhood
