Contract Digital Journey Specialist
Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) preferred but location negotiable.Fixed term till December 2023
Are you an experienced digital journey specialist looking to use your skills to make positive change?
NZEI Te Riu Roa is Aotearoa’s largest education union, campaigning for the rights and conditions of education professionals and for a better education system for tamariki.
NZEI Te Riu Roa is committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Candidates should either have or be committed to developing an understanding of Te Tiriti. We particularly welcome applications from people with experience in te reo and tikanga Māori.
We are looking for a Digital Journey Specialist who is experienced in digital and email marketing to take the lead in developing and maintaining digital journeys for members and recruitment leads, and to actively embed digital practice throughout the organisation.
This is an exciting new role that is being established at a time that the union is undergoing large-scale digital transformation, including the scoping and implementation of a new CRM and a shift to greater use of online campaigning, organising, meetings, and webinars.
Working as part of the digital team, you will use your hands on technical skills, experience with data analytics and digital marketing experience, and your knowledge of user behaviour to plug together different activities and groups within the organisation – including email, campaigns, online and offline meetings, social media content, online forms and petitions, and our nationwide field team network. Your prime focus will be driving recruitment and building member engagement and activism.
A key part of this role will be understanding and enabling online-to-offline organising and campaigning. As such, the Digital Journey Specialist will need to work well across the organisation – including the campaign team, membership team and our network of regional field teams. Experience in a campaigning and/or membership organisation would be a real bonus.
NZEI Te Riu Roa welcomes and supports people of all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religions, and disabilities/ abilities. An expectation of this role is to actively support and promote our diversity and inclusion principles. We want NZEI Te Riu Roa to be a place where you can bring your whole self to work.
Applications in confidence should be emailed to [email protected] with “Digital” in the subject line.
Applications close at 5pm, Wednesday 1st June 2022
