We are looking for a creative and solutions-focused Coordinator to join our small Wellington-based team. Due to our expanding work programme we’re growing, including the creation of this new role.
If you would you like to work for an organisation that prides itself on being relevant and responsive, then this role could be for you.
What is the role?
As our Coordinator you will be part of our Systems Capability team which is at the forefront of developing capability across the local government system, to ensure that all our products meet the needs of our members and the sector.
You will be responsible for administering the range of tasks associated with successfully delivering Taituarā products. This involves ensuring learner cohorts and participants records are accurately maintained, dealing with queries, regular, and general troubleshooting. The role also takes a lead role in supporting the smooth operations and administration of Taituarā committees and reference groups.
It is an exciting time for Taituarā as we explore options for the future, and this is a great opportunity to apply your organisational and relationship management prowess.
You will be someone that is naturally curious and innovative, able to provide courageous and authentic leadership. You’re focused and naturally collaborative, with a strong ethical core. These are the characters that define Taituarā and the people that work for us.
* have well-developed administration and communication skills
* have excellent attention to detail
* enjoy working across multiple streams of work
* be flexible in your approach to your work with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their experience as an administrator and coordinator, working in the engine room of a membership organisation that is supporting a sector undergoing significant change.
Taituarā is the national membership organisation for local government professionals. Our purpose is to promote and support professional management in local government.
In te reo Māori Taituarā means backbone and metaphorically describes unseen, unconditional support and strength. It implies courage, resilience, and empowerment.
We focus on providing professional leadership, promoting innovation and excellence in management practice, and developing local government capability to enhance service delivery to our local communities, throughout NZ
We are small team, but we punch well above our weight!
