Contract Community Centre Coordinator
EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITY AT THE NEWTOWN COMMUNITY CENTRE
The Newtown Community & Cultural Centre is looking for a new Coordinator to help manage their busy and vibrant Community Centre while one of the current coordinators takes maternity leave for up to 12 months.
This is a paid, fixed term, part-time position of 31.5 per week, starting early December – working a few weeks until our summer break, then continuing in the New Year. We’ll be closed from December 21st and open again on Monday 7th January 2019.
The two Coordinators work closely to manage the Centre venues, various community projects and to facilitate community development in Newtown.
This is a fun and varied role that would be ideal for a ‘people person’ with a passion for community development, excellent communication and organisational skills, strong initiative, and a sense of humour.
