Full-Time Campaigns & Workplace Fundraising Officer

As a result of increased support, the Mental Health Foundation of NZ (MHF) is growing its fundraising team!

We are looking for an all-star marketer to help us create fun and exciting fundraising campaigns – with a particular focus on workplace and school settings. By create, we mean – have the ideas, create a campaign plan and forecast, organise any design elements and work with the wider team to promote it. Our philosophy is that MHF fundraising should encourage people to engage in activities that improve mental health and wellbeing. That’s the first challenge.

The second is you will also be responsible for building relationships with workplaces to promote all of our fundraising and health promotion campaigns. So, you will need to get up to speed quickly on what we do and be able to articluate it well.

That might mean one-on-one meetings with HR, CSR or Wellbeing managers. Giving presenations to workplaces about MHF work and how to get involved, organising workshops on mental health topics or working with them to plan staff fundraising events.
The idea is that if more workplaces are involved in all of our work and can help share our health promotion messages through their communication channels – the better off the mental wellbeing of all Kiwis will be.

Above all we have fundraising targets to meet. Our fundraising team is a proactive bunch of go-getters. Day in and day out we strive to exceed our targets and ensure that every person who fundraises for us feels valued and remains engaged with our work. So are you up for the challenge?

You will have had at least 3 years experience in marketing or a similar field, and be able to demonstrate experience in campaign planning, from idea to execution through to evaluation. You will be a confident speaker and when you need to be – a great networker.

This role is based in our Mount Eden office and reports to the Mental Health Foundation’s Fundraising Manager, meaning it will sit within that team.

The starting salary will be approximately $64,000.00 per annum.
