Every year thousands of communities, often with no warning, lose their homes, their possessions and their livelihoods. Every day they are faced with a battle for survival.
ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives.
Since we began in 2000, we have responded to earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, landslides, typhoons and conflict, delivering emergency humanitarian aid to communities in need.
ShelterBox New Zealand is an Affiliate of the ShelterBox Trust and a registered charity in New Zealand that has been a part of the global ShelterBox network since 2007. We have a team of volunteers who share their passion with us including four New Zealand ShelterBox Response Team members who work tirelessly with the rest of the international Response Team to deliver aid to families who need it around the world.
This newly created role would suit someone who is excited to build up the operational systems needed to effectively and efficiently promote our ‘Shine for ShelterBox’ winter campaign among Kiwis and NZ restaurants. The ShelterBox brand is already well developed and thanks to ShelterBox UK, there is a wide range of marketing resources available.

This role would suit someone experienced or interested in:
Social Media Campaigns;
Marketing & promotion;
Collaborating with a wider team of volunteers and a national Board of Directors;
and who is:
Independent and self motivated;
Creative and experienced in media and marketing;
Has good communication and interpersonal skills;
And is enthusiastic and energetic
SHELTERBOX RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
We will support you every step of the way and are always accessible by phone and email, with regular contact with our Fundraising Manager. We provide an initial induction, which includes information on ShelterBox and how to perform in your role, ongoing training, regular emails and webinars, and up to date deployment information.
